Ghosts

todays letter is G, I chose ghost but did something a little different with it. I chose to ghost as a memories that haunts us, I work with people that have Alzheimer’s disease. They are always in their own world.

Relics of the past
memories of once
forgotten touches flood

her fingers rub images
that she holds in her mind
talking to children

long past their prime
they console her
with words unheard

locked in a world
only she can see
ghosts only she can hear

Hopeless Wanderer

Moving so fast yet standing still,
Peering to past and future atop sandy hill.
Questions unknown to answers seeking,
Memories fading like autumn leafy.
Aggresive degression betrayal of mind,
A familiar stranger’s touch seems so kind.
Missing the moisture a lovers kiss gives,
Unaware where her conscience lives.
Her ragged sun is low in the west,
Behind are their days of best.
The Disease pushes two asunder,
Leaving each as a Hopeless Wanderer.
