green stains in stark contrast
against once white rawhide
now browning from age
red fraying string holds two pieces together
on a pedestal as a grand statement
does it mean something?
A hard fought battle, between
two opposing forces, meeting
on battlefield of diamonds
grass and dirt
swinging sticks, and
screaming audience fill coliseums
After nine one emerges a victor
it is all about the game
about pride and
athleticism
about talent
and a little white rawhide ball
